Bali – Ijen Crater – Mt. Bromo – Mt. Semeru Package Tours

Day 1:  Denpasar/Bali - Banyuwangi/East Java
Pick you up from your Hotel in Bali then drive to west coast of Bali to across Bali strait by ferry for 45 minutes.Arrive in small town of Banyuwangi then proceed to Hotel in Banyuwangi area. Stay overnight and having dinner in Banyuwangi.
Day 2:  Ijen Crater – Mt. Semeru (Ranupane)
Early wake-up call. After breakfast at the hotel drive to the village of Licin and then drive to the slope of Mount Ijen, passing through plantations and rain forest. This is one of the few left in the island of Java with giant ferns and big trees. Pause at the Park Rangers post before hiking further up to the slope of the crater. About one hour and a half to two hours is needed to ascend the rim of the crater along a shady track with amazing views. Take a rest on the edge of the crater at 2883 meter altitude. The sulfuric lake reflects eerie color over the surrounding walls to give an apocalypse like impression. Men seeking sulfur descend into the crater and climb back up along the dangerous rim with loads of up to 80 kilos on their shoulder. The crater observation will take at leisure. Afterwards drive down back to Lumajang and then drive to Mt. Semeru. Lunch will be served at local restaurant.. Stay overnight and take dinner at a mountain lodge Ranu Pane.
Day 3: Mt. Semeru (Ranupane – Kalimati)
Early trek through a graded trails amidst mountain shrubs and bushes for about 13 kms to reach the tranquility of Lake (Ranu) Kumbolo (2,400 m) for lunch, after which the trek goes on further to Kalimati (2,700 m), an open savannah providing the best plain to set up the tent as well as providing best place to monitor continual puffs jetting out from the vent of Mt. Semeru
Day 4: Kalimati - Summit - Ranupane
Extreme in the morning, start trekking to Arcapada (2,900 m) to attempt the most strenuous part of the journey to the summit (3,676 m). The brilliant sunrise (subject to the weather) on the top highlighted by continual puffs and sometimes eruptions jetting out from the vent are the breathtaking rewards (caution: stay a minimum 500 m away from the vent). Afterwards, descend back to Kalimati for breakfast and down to Ranu Kumbolo for lunch. In the afternoon, hike further down to Ranupane and back to Bromo.
Day 5:  Mt. Bromo
Wake-up call at early morning, then leaving the hotel for Mount Bromo to see sunrise by crossing the caldera to get to the feet of Mount Bromo and then by horse or simply by walk climbing up track. The spectacular chain volcanoes (Bromo, Batok, and Semeru) are unveiling itself in a magnificent view. After the observation, we will drive back to the hotel for breakfast and then drive back to Bali.
